STEVEN I. ROSENBERG, M.D. was born and raised in New York City and graduated from Benjamin N. Cardozo High School where he was ranked in the top 5% of his class. After graduating magna cum laude with a BS degree in biology from the State University of New York at Albany, Dr. Rosenberg obtained an MS degree from Duke University and went on to attend the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he received his M.D. in 1983.
After an internship in internal medicine, Dr. Rosenberg completed a residency in anesthesiology, followed by a year-long fellowship specializing in obstetric anesthesia. Over the next twenty years as a practicing anesthesiologist, Dr. Rosenberg has had the opportunity to work with thousands of patients with acute or chronic pain. This experience has led him to believe that traditional methods employed for the treatment of pain are often inadequate at best and may produce many adverse side effects, the result of which is the abandonment of the treatment by the patient and thus the worsening of their condition.
Recent advances and research about cannabis have demonstrated its usefulness and therapeutic value for a variety of serious ailments. This has led to the development of the field of Cannabinoid Medicine. Dr. Rosenberg is delighted to be practicing in the new and exciting area of medical cannabis, and is honored to be a member of the American Academy of Cannabinoid Medicine (AACM).
FREDDA ROSENBERG, Ed.D. has devoted her entire career to education as a teacher, principal, and superintendent of schools.
