Medical Service Provided
Initial Certification
Albuquerque Integrative Medicine, LLC is now able to provide both required signatures for chronic pain patients. We assist patients to become participants in the New Mexico Department of Health Cannabis Program by performing medical evaluations for the purpose of certifying patients for eligibility in the program as required by New Mexico law. This evaluation consists of reviewing patients’ medical records, obtaining their medical history and the performance of a directed physical examination. New Mexico’s Lynn & Erin Compassionate Use Act of 2007 requires us to certify that the patient “has a debilitating medical condition and the potential health benefits of the medical use of cannabis would likely outweigh health risks for the patient” and that the “patient has current unrelieved symptoms that have failed to respond to other medical therapies”
Recertification
Albuquerque Integrative Medicine, LLC will provide certification for patients seeking re-enrollment in the program on a yearly basis as required by law.
Verification
Albuquerque Integrative Medicine, LLC will verify the validity of medical cannabis certification with law enforcement, CPS, attorneys, public health officers or other physicians as needed.
